 Excellent for the money January 6, 2009
I got the docking station for my daughter for christmas and so for we are very satisfied with it the sound is good although the bass could be better and the radio has very good reception also my daughter likes the alarm features so she can set the alarm for getting up for school during the week and the other for sleeping in on the weekends I was a little bothered that it didn't come with the remote I think it would be a good addition if they threw that in all around it's a great stereo.
Great product with annoying remote issue January 6, 2009
This was a Christmas gift for my hard-to-buy-for husband, and he's very pleased with it. I read most of the other reviews before I purchased it, and I find I agree with them. Good sound quality, easy to use.
What keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the remote issue. Like others, I believe it should be included in the purchase. Then the box insert says it is $19.99 with free shipping. But when you go to the Web site to order, the home page says free shipping on orders over $25. So I called, and was told it would have been free shipping online too (huh?). Then they wouldn't accept my debit card and I was told I could send them a money order. For crying out loud! Finally I scrounged around and found a credit card I could use. In fairness, after I puzzled about this transaction, I THINK they may have meant I couldn't use a gift card-type debit card; and probably they would have accepted my debit card which is linked to my bank account and can also be used as a credit card.
With this caveat about the remote, I would recommend this product.

This dual alarm with docking station is a good value. The sound is good but not great. It is relatively easy to use once set up.
 Broken Unit December 31, 2008

Product arrived and upon plugging into the outlet, I noticed the display was impossible to read. The digits were partially lit up; some were even partially blinking. Seems like a defective unit. I'll be sending it back for a new one.
Was nice while it worked December 28, 2008
Product does have great sound, however quit working after 1 day. No sound will come out of the unit now while the Zune is plugged in. Radio works fine. We have tested the Zune with other devices and it works fine. We will be ordering a replacement unit, hopefully it will keep working. Will change the rating if the replacement works to standard.
